Admission Deadline Vs Scholarship Deadline

Every student who wants to pursue his/her education in USA the first thing that comes to mind is how to get a scholarship?

The students need to realize the fact  the earlier you send the application the better the chances for getting a scholarship. Usually the admission process in USA is divided into rounds. Say the deadline for fall admission is February 1, 2016. The universities usually start taking applications from September/October. They divide the time from September to February into rounds. Say the applications received from September to October falls under "round 1" and similarly the applications received in the month of October to November fall under "round 2" and so on.

Now if you have sent your completed application in round 1 ( September to October) then you have a better chance of getting an scholarship. Also keep in mind that the college has limited number of funding/scholarship and it is usually first come first serve ( but of course ) merit basis. Having said that  if you have  a solid profile with a very good GRE score then you can still apply late and end up getting a scholarship. But why to take a risk so apply as early as you can.

Also when you apply to most of the universities you don't have to file a separate scholarship application. Usually they state that " If you are sending a packet for application then you would be automatically considered for scholarship".
